Chinese Grammar: How To Use Exclamations

People use exclamations to express thoughts, passions or emotions.

Examples:

  • How terrible!
  • What an excellent show!

Notes:

  • As we see below, these sentences express a strong emotion; Chinese people use exclamation with the same purpose.
  • Many exclamation sentences contain the symbol 口 - Kǒu in Chinese language

The most common word to express exclamation are:

吓...!我很生氣 ...

Xià...! Wǒ hěn shēngqì...

Ay!, It hurts me.

唉!,它傷害了我.

Āi!, Tā shānghài le wǒ.

Hey!, Listen me.

嘿!,聽我的.

Hēi! , Tīng wǒ de.
